Do you know a transformational founding team that could benefit from $20,000 equity free capital, world class mentorship and time spent with fellow founders in three months of intense acceleration? If so, online applications open on May 1st for the 6th edition of Lighthouse Labs here in RVA! In the meantime, they can learn more through the website or they can contact any of Team Lighthouse directly so we can get to know them as well. This year’s program will run from August 20th - November 16th.
Stay tuned for new groundbreaking announcements to come regarding this fall’s edition of Lighthouse! As usual we are counting on the amazing community around us to lean in, identify, and support the next group of exciting world changers. And speaking of world changers, we are pleased to announce that together with partners, Startup Virginia and Capital One, our fall program will take place in the brand new 1717 Innovation Center. The 1717 Innovation Center (1717) is a community-driven business incubator located in historic downtown Richmond. The state-of-the-art facility features six floors including 25 private offices for startups, shared coworking and mentoring spaces, meeting rooms, common areas and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city.

LIGHTHOUSE LABS NEWS AND NOTES
Earlier this year, it was exciting to announce the catalyst grant from Activation Capital. It is amazing to see it already come into play in advancing the cause of Lighthouse! As a team we desired to see this pivotal support pave the way to new partners, new areas of acceleration focus and most importantly vital new team members to expand the founder support we provide during acceleration and to our alumni.
This month I am pleased to introduce Dan Myers to the team! Dan will be taking an operational focus and specialize in bringing new partners to the table for Lighthouse growth as Managing Director. This allows me to continue to work with the board, founders and regional leaders as Executive Director of the program. Together with Lighthouse's Program Manager we will create new options and opportunities for all involved in supporting and participating in Lighthouse's critical work.
Watch LighthouseLabsRVA.com closely as this month we will be announcing special support for EdTech founders coming to this fall's program. This is just the beginning of many areas of expertise we hope to develop and launch in the next 12-18 months. You may even see a special addition newsletter highlighting this significant step forward as we diversify, focus and attack problems that matter with acceleration and innovative startup founders!
